The Regal Theatre

Working at Heights

Tallescope

The Tallescope was initially designed for focusing lanterns on flown lighting bars. In the Regal it will also be used to haul lanterns up and down.

Generally it should only be used for lighting purposes and by those persons who have received specific training and for whom a training record exists. There are very strict guidelines for it's use.

Access Tower

The access tower is designed for general working at height tasks. Anyone using it should first assess it's suitability for the task they wish to undertake. They should have watched the demonstration video and had a practice session in using it, they should also be familiar with the appropriate code of practice.

The access tower can also be used for working on lighting, and is more suitable to change the tubes on the working lights for example.

It is kept erected for use in situations where there is an emergency with the person using the tallescope in order to be able to render assistance at height.

This video demonstrates the correct use of the the access tower.
